Communication & Emergency Policy

Messages left at the office number (410‑535‑6520) are securely transcribed into encrypted visual voicemail and delivered to the practice’s secure business email system to ensure continuity, documentation, and quality oversight.

Incoming voicemail and email communications are reviewed regularly, including outside standard office hours, for clinically urgent matters involving established patients.

This is a private outpatient psychiatric practice and does not function as an emergency department or crisis service.

Emergency care is provided only to established, active patients within the scope of an existing treatment relationship. The practice does not offer emergency evaluations for new patients prior to completion of an initial psychiatric assessment.

Individuals experiencing a psychiatric or medical emergency should call 911, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or proceed to the nearest emergency department for immediate evaluation and assistance.
